Rockingham County, NC takes in the cities of Reidsville, Eden, Stoneville, Mayodan, Madison, Leakesville, Ruffin, and many little townships, and Wentworth is the County Seat of Government.  There is lots of rural countryside and farmland and numerous churches.  We have a Lake Reidsville and a Chamber of Commerce.  Our Republican office is in downtown Reidsville, next to the Post Office. We are in north central North Carolina, about a half hour drive to Greensboro.  Nearby cities include Winston-Salem, Burlington, Durham, Mt. Airy ("Mayberry" from the Andy Griffith Show), and Rocky Mount, Virginia.  One to two hours' drive will take you to Raleigh and Charlotte.  We border on the counties of Caswell (E), Guilford (S), and Stokes (W), and the State of Virginia (N). The Dan River runs through Rockingham County.  Currently we are a Red County (Republican), so is our legislature and soon the governor.
